ABOUT

This website serves as a place to highlight the life, work, and continued impact of Dr. Earl Edwards. Dr. Edwards served as a missionary to Italy (1960-1976) and the Dean & Director of the Scuola Biblica di Firenze (Florence Bible School). From 1982 till his retirement in 2008, Dr. Edwards served in the Bible Department and as the Dean of the Graduate Program of Bible at Freed-Hardeman University while creating and developing three major degree programs. The Masters of Divinity program was recently noted as one of the "top 20 best values" among theological programs in the USA.

Dr. Edwards was married to Gwendolyn Gertrude Hall Edwards in 1952 until her passing from cancer in 1986.

Dr. Edwards married the wonderful Lora Majors Edwards in 1988 and they continue to reside in Henderson, Tennessee. 

Dr. Edwards continues to serve as a Preacher and Elder at the Finger Church of Christ in Henderson, Tennessee.
